Vibe + Light Photography

Digital Image License

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

This Digital Image License (“License”) governs the use of digital photographs purchased or otherwise provided by Vibe + Light Photography (“Photographer,” “Vibe + Light,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By purchasing or downloading digital photographs from Vibe + Light Photography, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the terms of this License.

1. Copyright Ownership

All photographs created by Vibe + Light Photography are protected by copyright.

Purchase or download of a digital photograph does not transfer copyright ownership to the Client.

Vibe + Light Photography retains all copyright, title, and intellectual property rights in the photographs unless a separate written copyright transfer agreement has been executed.

2. Personal-Use License

Upon payment in full, Vibe + Light Photography grants the Client a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased digital photographs for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This personal-use license includes the right to:

Download and store the purchased photographs;
Make personal prints;
Order personal photo books, cards, or similar products;
Give personal printed copies as gifts to family or friends;
Display the photographs in the Client’s home;
Share the photographs on personal social-media accounts; and
Use the photographs as personal computer or device backgrounds.

3. Social Media

The Client may share purchased photographs on personal social-media accounts.

When reasonably practical, the Client is encouraged to credit Vibe + Light Photography when posting photographs online.

The Client may not remove copyright notices or other identifying information embedded in or accompanying the photographs.

4. Prohibited Uses

Unless Vibe + Light Photography provides written permission or a separate commercial license, the Client may not:

Sell the digital photographs;
Resell or sublicense the photographs;
License the photographs to another person or business;
Use the photographs for commercial advertising;
Use the photographs to promote a business;
Submit the photographs for commercial publication;
Use the photographs in paid advertising;
Use the photographs to create a logo, trademark, or service mark;
Claim authorship or copyright ownership;
Provide the files to another person or business for their commercial use; or
Use the photographs in a way that violates applicable law.

5. Personal Printing

The Client may make personal prints or have personal prints produced by a reputable consumer printing service.

The Client understands that Vibe + Light Photography cannot control the color accuracy, cropping, paper quality, or printing quality of a third-party printing service.

For the highest-quality reproduction, the Client is encouraged to order professional prints through the Vibe + Light Photography Store.

6. Editing and Alteration

The Client may make reasonable personal-use adjustments such as resizing for personal display.

The Client may not materially alter, manipulate, distort, filter, or edit the photographs in a manner that misrepresents the Photographer’s work or artistic style without the Photographer’s written permission.

Normal cropping or resizing required for personal printing or social-media display is permitted.

7. Commercial Use

Commercial use requires a separate written license.

If a Client wishes to use an image for business advertising, marketing, publication, product packaging, professional promotion, paid social-media advertising, or another commercial purpose, the Client must contact Vibe + Light Photography before using the image.

Commercial licensing fees and permitted uses will be determined separately based on the intended use.

8. Transfer of Files

The Client may not transfer, sell, sublicense, or distribute the original purchased digital files to another person or business.

The Client may provide a digital photograph to a professional printer solely for the purpose of producing a personal print or product for the Client.

9. No Copyright Transfer

Nothing in this License constitutes a sale or transfer of copyright.

The purchase price reflects a license to use the photograph as described in this License, not the purchase of the copyright itself.

10. Photographer’s Rights

Vibe + Light Photography retains the right to use photographs created by the Photographer for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, competitions, publication, and other promotional purposes, subject to any separate written agreement or applicable client privacy agreement.

11. Unauthorized Use

Use of a photograph outside the rights granted by this License may constitute copyright infringement.

Vibe + Light Photography reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable copyright law and other applicable laws.

12. License Termination

If the Client materially violates this License, the license may be terminated to the extent permitted by law.

Upon termination, the Client must cease any use that is no longer authorized and must not continue distributing or reproducing the affected photographs.

13. Agreement

By purchasing or downloading digital photographs from Vibe + Light Photography, the Client acknowledges that they have reviewed and agree to this Digital Image License.
